Tanner Melior – Mentor

Tanner Melior – Mentor

Meet our newest Youth Mentor

Tanner is enthusiastic about being a youth mentor and loves to learn, work with others, and play sports. When he’s not outside, he’s usually reading a good book, watching movies, or hanging out with friends and family. He is a college student at Utah Valley University majoring in psychology and hopes to help others now and in the future.
Tanner came to Utah Family Therapy to be a youth mentor because of his desire to help youth. He’s eager and willing to help your child find hope and purpose in life. He’s ready to help them in school, exercise, fill out a resume or just be a friend. It doesn’t matter the task, Tanner’s ready!

Meet Tanner:

Q: Why do you want to be a youth mentor?
A: I love helping others. Like everyone else, I’ve had to deal with trials and challenges too. I’ve always appreciated those who sacrificed their time to help me overcome weakness and difficulty. I want to be a mentor because I want to help others understand that healing is possible, and help is always close.
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: I really enjoy Asian food, especially good sushi.
Q: What’s your favorite outdoor activity?
A: My favorite outdoor activity is camping. I love being able to enjoy nature, a good campfire, and quality time with friends and family.
Q: What would be your perfect day?
A: My perfect day would probably start off with me enjoying the cool ocean breeze somewhere nice and warm. There would be lots of fun on the sand, good food, family and friends, and golf. I would probably spend most of the day outdoors enjoying beautiful scenery, and making good memories with those I love.
Q: What’s some wisdom you have discovered already that you could share?
A: I believe that everyone has an amazing amount of potential to do good, and be good. The power is already in us to change and become what we want to become in life. When we really start to better understand our real potential, we change, we improve, and we influence others to see themselves as we do.
