What You'll Learn About Karina Bahr

Karina Bahr's Passion

Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next? You may be navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, family conflict, a major life transition, or simply feeling like the strategies that once worked for you aren’t working anymore. Therapy can give you a place to slow down, understand what is happening, and begin creating meaningful change.

I work with teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, family conflict, and life transitions.

You Remain in Control

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I believe you should have a voice in your therapy and remain in control of your healing journey. Rather than approaching therapy as though I have all the answers, I see our work as a partnership. You bring your experiences, strengths, values, and goals; I bring support, perspective, and evidence-based therapeutic tools to help you move forward.

Collaborative & Individualized Experience

Depending on your needs, I incorporate:

These approaches can help with anxiety, difficult emotions, unhelpful thought patterns, trauma and painful experiences, relationship challenges, and developing healthier ways of coping.

Therapy That Fits You

For teens and young adults, therapy can provide a supportive space to navigate anxiety, relationships, identity, self-esteem, school or work stress, family dynamics, and the transition into adulthood.

For adults, therapy may focus on anxiety, trauma, relationships, boundaries, emotional patterns, burnout, identity, or navigating major life changes.

For couples and families, I help clients better understand the patterns happening within their relationships, improve communication, work through conflict, and create healthier connections.

You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin. Sometimes the first step is simply knowing that something needs to change.

My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to make those changes at a pace that feels right for you.

Your life. Your goals. Your healing. Therapy should make room for all three.
UTAH FAMILY THERAPY'S UNFILTERED MISSION STATEMENT

Lets face it, who likes to talk about their crap with other people?

If you’re like most clients, you’re used to being judged despite hearing so many people talk about non judgment and when you do open up, it seems like the more you share, the less likely you are to get compassion.

We’ve worked our butts off to create a clinic where the unfiltered, real you, can show up and heal, so dammit give therapy a chance

We love the unfiltered real you, let’s heal together. – Utah Family Therapy Team
