Your Child Struggling with a Hidden Technology Compulsion?

“Sing once again with me, our strange duet. My power over you grows stronger yet; and though you turn from me, to glance behind. The Phantom of the Opera is there, inside your mind.”

Phantom of the Opera

More often than not, these types of conversations play out in the minds of children and young adults who are struggling with pornography, gaming, social media compulsion.

Dealing with their compulsion becomes a dance that is taking place inside of their mind. It can be a dance that you do not see until it is staring at you in the face.

Also, it is a dance that they do not know the steps, too at their age. Just like in musicals, things happen in Act 1 that may not seem relevant to the overall storyline.

It is not until Act 3 that we realize that what happened earlier was a significant event that shapes the outcome of the story.

Helping children overcome pornography compulsion.

Helping your children and young adults work through and overcome their pornography compulsion during the early years of their development can be beneficial in multiple aspects of life.

Managing the triggers of stress, anxiety, and shame will make the dance a lot easier for them to handle. Not only the dance of pornography compulsions, but also the dance of school, careers, and relationships.

The power children and young adults think pornography has overtime will diminish, and they will be able to have a life that is not consumed with such a powerful compulsion.

It is never too late to help your children and young adults overcome their compulsions, regardless of what it is. If you give your children and young adults the steps of the dance and guide them, they will be able to turn from this consuming compulsion and turn towards happiness, growth, and confidence.

UTAH FAMILY THERAPY'S UNFILTERED MISSION STATEMENT

Lets face it, who likes to talk about their crap with other people?

If you’re like most clients, you’re used to being judged despite hearing so many people talk about non judgment and when you do open up, it seems like the more you share, the less likely you are to get compassion.

We’ve worked our butts off to create a clinic where the unfiltered, real you, can show up and heal, so dammit give therapy a chance

We love the unfiltered real you, let’s heal together. – Utah Family Therapy Team
