You made the right decision by coming here.

We’re trauma specialists in mental health; helping youth and adults with anxiety, depression, and OCD, make deeper more meaningful connections while living life confidently, connected, and safe without fear and with more emotional energy.

There’s a vicious cycle of anxiety that continues to occur within you or a loved one, especially right now with the COVID 19 pandemic. Utah Family Therapy’s intensive outpatient program will help you manage your anxiety, depression, or OCD from the comfort of our office or your home, via teletherapy. and we accept insurance, so it’s affordable.

We do this by following these three principles:

  1. Compassion
  2. Connection
  3. Communication

We're here to help you:

7 years ago, we launched Utah Family Therapy with the mission of compassion, connection, and healing. We embraced working with clients experiencing issues from needing a marriage boost, to intense trauma and crisis. We knew that when clients addressed shame and felt compassion, they would feel safe to work through their core issues.

Core traumas and negative beliefs hold progress and healing hostage. We soon noticed that some clients needed more help than just weekly therapy. For example Clients with severe depression, anxiety, and Mental health or suicide attempt post-hospitalizations. Failure to maintain school, family, or work-life balance. Post-residential treatment adjustment. Weekly therapy simply wasn’t enough.

We could not find intensive outpatient treatment resources for these clients. Many clinics have drug only programs, however, they don’t work with other mental health issues. We asked the question… Why don’t we offer this? We decided to fill the gap and begin an Intensive Outpatient Program that embraces Bi-Polar, Personality Disorders, and other debilitating mental illnesses. We incorporate weekly Group Therapy, Family Groups, and Health and Wellness. All focused on connection and healing core traumas and shame. And yes, we take most insurances.

We hope you will consider Utah Family Therapy for your Mental Health Outpatient solution.

How we’re different

In most cases, underlying trauma may be contributing to your anxiety. As part of our IOP, we assign a trauma-informed Individual Therapist Advocate (ITA) who sees each client through their therapeutic process, including IOP Groups and Family Treatment.

Our goal as a clinic is to help each client and their family deeply heal and connect. In the words of a former client, “I finally feel joy and hope again.”
