My Journey

Personal experiences have profoundly shaped Taylor’s path to becoming a mental health professional.

Initially pursuing a career in counseling and therapy, Taylor faced significant challenges with anxiety and panic disorder.

These struggles led to a temporary withdrawal from studies and exploration of alternative career paths.

Despite these setbacks, mental health issues continued to impact his daily life, ultimately prompting Taylor to leave his job and focus exclusively on personal well-being.

During this period of reflection and growth, Taylor rediscovered a passion for mental health treatment.

Determined to make a meaningful impact, Taylor returned to academia, completing a degree in Psychology at Brigham Young University.

Taylor is pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Utah Valley University.

As Taylor progresses in education, there is a strong desire to work with young adults and parents facing life changes.

By understanding and addressing their needs, Taylor aims to help clients develop skills that enhance their effectiveness as friends, partners, and caregivers.

Background and Experience

Taylor believes that healing occurs through connection, understanding, and empowerment.

UTAH FAMILY THERAPY'S UNFILTERED MISSION STATEMENT

Lets face it, who likes to talk about their crap with other people?

If you’re like most clients, you’re used to being judged despite hearing so many people talk about non judgment and when you do open up, it seems like the more you share, the less likely you are to get compassion.

We’ve worked our butts off to create a clinic where the unfiltered, real you, can show up and heal, so dammit give therapy a chance

We love the unfiltered real you, let’s heal together. – Utah Family Therapy Team
