Counseling in Utah County
Problems or Challenges are Gifts

Counseling Has Taught Us Some Lessons

“Problems do not go away. They must be worked through or else they remain, forever a barrier to the growth and development of the spirit…The difficulty we have in accepting responsibility for our behavior lies in the desire to avoid the pain of the consequences of that behavior.” -M. Scott Peck

Life Should Be Different

One of the things that I have noticed in counseling so many people throughout the years is that most everybody feels that their life should be different.  Or at least they wish that it could.

Instead of taking personal responsibility for themselves they would rather complain about their situation as if complaining about it might make a difference.

In reality complaining without accompanying accountability and responsibility just make matters worse and increase the suffering involved.

If you are unsatisfied with something in your life, take action and do something about it – don’t just complain about it.

Be grateful for your challenges for they can be gifts in disguise if you do something about them.

It’s what you do with your newfound challenges that define you.

Most counselors have their own set of challenges that they went through in life and that’s why they have gone into counseling. They want to help others …Don’t give up!
