What You'll Learn About Kayla Greer, MFTI

Who Kayla Greer Works With

Kayla works with premarital couples, newlyweds, young adults, teens, parents, and couples navigating life’s most pressing challenges, including anxiety, depression, major life transitions, financial stress, and unwanted pornography use.

She has a particular focus on the healing process surrounding betrayal trauma, supporting individuals and couples as they work to rebuild trust, connection, and emotional safety within their most important relationships.

Her Approach

Kayla’s approach to therapy is rooted in understanding unhealed wounds, unmet needs, and patterns that may keep clients stuck. Rather than simply managing symptoms, she helps clients live in alignment with their personal values, building practical tools, developing deeper self-understanding, and moving through life’s challenges with greater confidence, clarity, and connection.

She believes lasting healing and meaningful change happen when people feel both genuinely understood and empowered to pursue the life they want.

What It Feels Like to Work With Her

Imagine riding a bike along a boardwalk with a trusted friend — a steady breeze against your skin, ocean waves keeping pace beside you. There is an energizing sense of movement and freedom, while still feeling grounded and calm with every turn of the wheels. The conversation flows naturally: engaged, present, and genuine — like moving forward with someone who is fully invested in the journey beside you.

That is what it feels like to be in the room with Kayla. She brings a quality of presence that is both warm and purposeful, creating a space where clients feel safe enough to do the real work.

Training & Specializations

Kayla is trained in Psychological First Aid and EMDR for trauma reprocessing and is a Gottman Level 1 Certified Couples Therapist.
She holds a particular passion for supporting couples navigating betrayal trauma connected to unwanted pornography use, walking alongside partners as they rebuild the emotional safety their relationship deserves.
Before entering the mental health field, Kayla earned her undergraduate degree in Financial Planning and worked as a financial coach.
This background gives her a unique ability to support clients through financial stress, money-related conflict, and the emotional weight that finances can place on relationships and overall well-being, a dimension many therapists are not equipped to address.

Her Values

Living in alignment with her core values is not just something Kayla teaches — it is something she lives. The values that guide her most are congruence, purpose, personal growth, belonging, and courage.
She brings those same values into her work, helping clients identify what matters most to them so they can build a life that feels meaningful and authentically their own.

Take the First Step

Taking the first step toward healing can feel overwhelming — but you do not have to do it alone. Kayla would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

UTAH FAMILY THERAPY'S UNFILTERED MISSION STATEMENT

Lets face it, who likes to talk about their crap with other people?

If you’re like most clients, you’re used to being judged despite hearing so many people talk about non judgment and when you do open up, it seems like the more you share, the less likely you are to get compassion.

We’ve worked our butts off to create a clinic where the unfiltered, real you, can show up and heal, so dammit give therapy a chance

We love the unfiltered real you, let’s heal together. – Utah Family Therapy Team
